The Power and Promise of Girls' Education - State of the World's Mothers 2005

In occasione della Festa della Mamma, Save the Children pubblica il suo sesto rapporto annuale sullo stato delle madri nel mondo. Concentrandosi sull'istruzione delle ragazze come un modo per garantire un futuro più sano e prospero per tutti i bambini, questo rapporto evidenzia l'urgente necessità di raggiungere i 58 milioni di ragazze che non frequentano la scuola. Punta i riflettori sui paesi che stanno riuscendo a far frequentare e mantenere le ragazze a scuola e dimostra che soluzioni efficaci a questa sfida sono accessibili, anche nei Paesi più poveri del mondo.

In commemoration of Mother's Day, Save the Children is publishing its sixth annual State of the World's Mothers report. By focusing on girls' education as a way to ensure a more healthy and prosperous future  for all children, this report highlights the urgent need to reach the 58 million girls who are not attending school. It shines a spotlight on countries that are succeeding in getting and keeping girls in school and shows that effective solutions to this challenge are affordable - even in the world's poorest countries.
